August at I Need A VA: Training, Team, and Taking Social Off Your Plate

August 31, 202614 min read

August was a big month at ineedaVA. Our team leveled up in training, our founder hit the road for female founders in Dallas, and we launched a service we have been building quietly for months. Here is everything that happened, and what it means for you.

When our team learns, our clients benefit

We say this a lot, because we mean it. At I Need A VA, we invest in ongoing training so our Virtual Assistants can work smarter, strengthen their skills, and provide even better support to the clients they serve.

Our team is spread across the world, with most of our Virtual Assistants based in the Philippines supporting clients internationally. Distance has never been the hard part. Consistency is. That is why every VA on our team trains inside the same systems, follows the same playbooks, and levels up together every single month.

And here is the part most agencies keep to themselves: the same training systems we use with our own team are available to you inside the I Need A VA Training Vault. Whether you are a business owner who wants your VA to level up, or a VA who wants to sharpen your skills, it is all in there.

Get instant access at ineedava.com/trainingvault.

This month's training: Less Stress, More Progress

Your VA is only as powerful as the system behind her.

That was the idea behind our August monthly training, held live on Zoom on August 13. Micah Mae Llabres, one of our external VAs, broke down how to build a Notion system that keeps tasks organized, priorities clear, and nothing falling through the cracks.

The topic came straight from real life: too many tasks, too many tools, too much mental clutter. Micah walked through a smarter way to manage a to-do list, reduce overwhelm, and actually get things done. It is the kind of training every business owner and every VA can put to work the same day.

Missed it live? The full replay is waiting for you in the Training Vault.

The big one: we now run your social media like a department

You did not start your business to become a content creator.

But somewhere along the way, social became your job too. Writing the captions. Chasing the trends. Wondering at 11pm whether any of it is actually working.

This month we officially rolled out our Social Media Management service, and we built it the way we build everything: strategy first, then content, then proof it worked.

Before we post a single word, you get a Digital Clean Up Report, a Brand Board, a Competitive Social Brief, and a Client Avatar Deep Dive. So the content that goes out sounds like you and reaches people who actually buy.

Then the work runs. Feed posts and short form reels. Stories and graphics. Captions written for search. Community management by a real human on our team. And a monthly audit that reports on what moved, not just what posted.

All it takes from you is two calls. One free discovery call, one strategy session. After that, your content runs without you touching it.

Plans start at $1,500/mo and go to $3,800/mo, depending on how many platforms you want handled and how loud you want to be. Three plans, no surprises.

You show up as the expert. We handle everything that gets you there. Book your free consultation at ineedava.com/freeconsultation.

Team Spotlight: meet the crew behind your content

When we say a real human on our team manages your content, these are the faces we mean. Meet three of the people who run social media at ineedaVA, working from the Philippines and showing up for clients around the world.

smm team

Gemica Matildo, Social Media Manager. Gem leads strategy and execution for the whole team, pairing a sharp design eye with the calm of someone who also runs a household. Mom, leader, and always hunting for a new place or recipe to try.

Queenie Nacipo, Content Manager. Queenie is the keeper of brand voice. If a caption sounds like you, that is her doing. Off the clock she is usually somewhere new with a book in hand.

Francis Matildo, Content Editor. Francis makes sure everything we publish is accurate and looks good doing it, from video edits to design. He also dances, and yes, he is better at it than the rest of us.

They are the reason your content sounds like you, goes out on time, and gets a monthly audit instead of a shrug. When you sign on for social media management, this is not a faceless service. It is Gem, Queenie, Francis, and the rest of the team, with names, standards, and a shared obsession with making your brand look as good online as it is in real life.

Say hi if you spot them in your comments. They are probably already there.

New faces on the team: welcome, Minorca and Justine

Welcome to the team!

The crew you just met is growing. This month we welcomed two new members to the content team, and the whole company is excited to have them.

Say hello to Minorca Beloro, our new Content Editor, and Justine Plasabas, our new Video Editor. Minorca will be working alongside Queenie and the team on the written side of things, while Justine joins Francis in the editing bay, bringing more hands to the reels and video content our clients love. They are both settling in, learning our systems, and going through the same training every I Need A VA team member gets from day one.

Minorca and Justine, we are so glad you are here. We cannot wait to see what you do. Welcome aboard!

Client love: a shoutout for Jenn and Anj

The right VA does more than check tasks off a list. They adapt, communicate, and step up when your business needs it most. This month, one of our clients said it better than we could.

Kelly, who works with two of our VAs, Jenn and Anj, shared this: "Jenn & Anj are wonderful. They both have amazing attitudes as we make a lot of rapid fire adjustments to processes, and stepping up to help with what's working and what's not."

That willingness to learn, adjust, and support the team is exactly what strong virtual assistance looks like, and it is exactly what our training and systems are built to produce. Jenn and Anj, we see you. Keep shining.

VAs of the Month: celebrating who showed up big

Every month, we recognize the Virtual Assistants who went above and beyond for their clients and their team. For August, that honor goes to:

Congratulations to Jeneva, Abby, and Queenie — our VAs of the Month for August! Thank you for your consistency, initiative, and the heart you bring to your clients and team every single day. You truly represent what iNeedaVA is all about.

SheDelegates went to Dallas

Our founder Brittany Bettini spent a weekend in Dallas in mid August doing her favorite thing: handing freedom to female founders.

The event brought together women who are building real businesses: agencies, product brands, coaching practices, service companies. Rooms like that always have the same energy. Everyone is impressive, everyone is exhausted, and almost nobody has help.

Inside every gift bag was a copy of SheDelegates® and a reminder that she does not have to carry the whole company by herself.

Brittany put it best: "I met women building beautiful businesses who are still answering their own emails at 11pm. I know her. I was her. Nobody handed me the permission slip, so I made one and started giving it away."

The best part of the weekend was not the stage or the swag. It was the hallway conversations. The founder who admitted she has never taken a vacation without her laptop. The one who said out loud, for the first time, that she is the bottleneck in her own business. The one who opened SheDelegates right there in the lobby and started dog-earing pages.

Watch a founder's face when someone tells her she is allowed to put something down. That is why we do this. Brittany came home with a full heart, an empty suitcase, and a list of new friends who are about to make their first hire.

"Let me check Brittany's calendar." It was Brittany.

Speaking of permission slips, Brittany shared a story this month that struck a nerve online: for almost a year, she posed as her own assistant, replying to her own emails in third person from her kitchen table.

The surprising part? It worked. Clients who used to haggle stopped the moment they thought they were talking to staff. Her takeaway is simple: people price you by how hard you are to reach, and a founder with a team gets treated like a company instead of a favor.

Her advice: put someone between you and the noise, charge accordingly, and let the difference pay for the help. If you want to know what to hand off first and what to pay for it, grab the free hiring guide at ineedava.com/hiringguidecheckout.

Regroup: breakfast, community, and showing up local

This month's Regroup breakfast meetup gathered above Mikes On Main at 9am, and the room was full. Women looking for a tribe, two amazing speakers from local non-profits, and free breakfast to go with it.

Regroup is our standing invitation to the local WNC community: come hang with us, hear from people doing good work close to home, and find out how to get more involved. Thank you to everyone who spent their morning with us. We are already looking forward to the next one.

We would love to keep you connected with Regroup! It is completely free to join. Register here to get text reminders and stay in the loop for the next gathering.

22,000 strong: our Facebook Group hit a milestone

Speaking of community, our I Need A VA Facebook Group just crossed 22,000 members!

The group is home to aspiring Virtual Assistants from all over, and it is where we share what is happening inside the company: milestones, updates, and job openings when we are hiring. When a new role opens at ineedaVA, the group hears about it first. When we hit a milestone, the group celebrates with us. And when someone lands their first VA role, the comments fill up with congratulations from people cheering for a stranger like she is family.

For thousands of VAs, joining the group has been the first step toward landing a role and building a real career in virtual assistance. Some of the very people you have met in this post found their way to ineedaVA through this community. That is what makes 22,000 more than a number to us. Behind every one of those members is someone working toward something better, and we get to be a small part of that.

Thank you for helping I Need A VA grow and for being part of the journey. Every member who joined, engaged, and invited a friend got us here, and we do not take a single one of you for granted.

Dreaming of becoming a VA? Join us at facebook.com/groups/ineedava to catch our next job posting and be part of a community of 22,000 people on the same path. We save a seat for everyone.

Where you'll find us next: Create & Cultivate, LA

Brittany is headed to Los Angeles on September 19 and 20 for the Create & Cultivate Festival, the largest event in the world for women in business. It is her first time going, with 150+ speakers across two days, including keynotes from Emma Grede and Alix Earle.

Two days of workshops, panels, and mentor sessions with founders, investors, and creators who have built the kinds of businesses most people only screenshot. Brittany's plan is simple: listen hard, take notes she will actually use, and find the founders in the room who are still doing everything themselves. Dallas proved they are everywhere. LA will be no different.

For years, events like this felt out of reach. Too much on her plate, too many people who needed her to be everywhere at once. What she learned building I Need A VA is that the feeling was never about being too busy. It was about being understaffed. Once she built a team that could run without her standing over every task, she got her time back. Now she gets to actually show up in rooms like this one.

And that is really the point of both trips. Dallas was about giving the permission slip away. LA is about walking into the biggest room in the industry as proof of what happens when you use it. Same founder, same message, bigger stage.

If you are a founder thinking about going, grab your ticket at createcultivate.com/festival-tickets and use code BRITTANYBETTINI15 for 15% off General Admission. Find Brittany there and compare notes. She will be the one asking what you are still doing yourself, and why.

August birthdays: cake for the people who make it happen

Two of our own celebrated birthdays this month, and the team chat lit up accordingly! August gave us another great reason to pause from the busy days, celebrate the people behind the work, and recognize two wonderful members of our extended team.

A very Happy Birthday to Queenie Nacipo, our Content Manager, and Gerlie Moldero, one of our valued external VAs! 🥳 We’re excited to put you both in the spotlight and celebrate another year of everything you bring to the team.

Birthdays are a great reminder to celebrate more than just another trip around the sun. They’re a chance to look back at how far you’ve come, appreciate the people you’ve met along the way, and get excited about everything still ahead.

We hope this new chapter brings you both plenty of reasons to smile, meaningful opportunities to grow, and moments worth remembering.

From all of us, thank you for being part of our work family. We appreciate your time, talent, positive energy, and all the little things you do that make a difference.

Here’s to another year of big goals, exciting opportunities, well-deserved wins, and new adventures. May your careers keep soaring, your hard work continue to open new doors, and the year ahead bring you success, happiness, good health, and countless blessings.

Happy birthday, Queenie and Gerlie! 🎈

The team behind all of it: our organizational chart

None of this month happened by accident. Behind every training session, every client win, and every gift bag in Dallas is a full internal team, and this month we are pulling back the curtain on how it is structured.

At the top is our Founder and CEO, Brittany Bettini, supported by department heads who keep the whole thing moving:

Our People and Talent Department finds and grows the VAs our clients rave about, with a full bench of recruitment, training, and culture specialists behind every hire.

Our Operations and Marketing Departments keep the engine running, from daily operations to the social media crew you met in the spotlight above.

Our Client Care Department makes sure every client relationship gets the attention it deserves, long after the first call.

And as of this month, that structure has two new names on it: Minorca and Justine, who you met above.

Want to put faces to the structure? Meet the whole team at ineedava.com/our-team.

That structure is not just how we run our agency. It is what we help our clients build for themselves, one hire at a time. When you work with I Need A VA, you are not hiring a lone freelancer. You are plugging into a real organization with recruiters behind your VA, trainers behind their skills, and a client success team behind your experience.

Because the goal was never to do more alone. It was to build something that runs without you carrying every piece of it.
